Roberto Pilotto
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Roberto Pilotto is IR and International Partner for fund development activities at FSI. He spent all his career in private equity, both as a direct investor and Limited Partner. Previously, he worked at Mubadala Capital as a senior member of the private equity team, investing in and managing the Private Equity Funds portfolio in Europe and Asia. He is the former Head of PPM Managers (now M&G PFI), the London-based Private Equity Funds investment unit of M&G/Prudential plc of the UK, where he led the team and developed the EUR 1.7 bn investment operations from initial stages, achieving a strong performance for the client. During his tenure at PPM – of more than 9 years – he reviewed over 1,000 Funds and built successfully a portfolio of top performing managers, including some of the most respected and admired up and coming teams among mid-market managers in Europe, Asia and Emerging Markets. Prior to joining PPM in 2002, Roberto worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London for 5 years and he was an investment executive in Italy with Friulia for 7 years, completing a number of growth capital transactions.
Currently he is Member of the FSI ESG Committee.
EDUCATION
He holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan (Italy), and is fluent in 5 languages.
