FSI has adopted a Code of Ethics, which defines and promotes the best conditions for pursuing the investments and attaining the value creation goals.

    FSI endorses and actively implements ESG practices, internally and at invested corporate level.

    FSI influences and acts on the ESG culture of the portfolio companies, factoring such aspects in the investment plan.

    Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues can affect the performance of the investment portfolio and align corporates interests with the broader objectives of society.

    FSI has endorsed the UN Principles for Responsible Investments. By subscribing these principles, FSI committed to:

    • incorporate ESG topics in the investment analysis and decision-making processes;
    • be an active owner and incorporate ESG issues into the ownership policies and practices;
    • seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which it invests;
    • promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry;
    • work with the PRI Secretariat and other signatories to enhance their effectiveness in implementing the Principles;
    • report on the activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.

    FSI ESG procedures reflect the guidelines of Invest Europe, the association representing Europe’s private equity, venture capital and infrastructure sectors, as well as their investors.

    The ESG due diligence is a mandatory step in the investment process. These topics are monitored on a constant basis during the holding period of the portfolio companies.

    The ESG activities are quite pervasive into the FSI organization. Depending on the investment phase, they are managed by:

    Pre‐investment phase – Due Diligence activities

    • Investments
    • Risk Management
    • Compliance

    Post‐investment phase – Investment management and reporting

    • ESG Committee
    • Risk Management
    • Portfolio Management
    • Investments
    • Board members appointed in portfolio companies
    • Investor Relations
