    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    Maurizio Tamagnini is the Founder and CEO of FSI, asset management company with over Euro 3 billion of AUM.

    He was CEO of Fondo Strategico Italiano, which he led since its inception.

    From 2014 to 2025, he served as Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of STMicroelectronics, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, a company jointly owned by the Italian and French governments.

    Previously, he held the role of Head of Southern Europe for Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and he was a member of the Executive Committee for EMEA region. In his career over thirty years, he has overseen more than a hundred extraordinary finance operations, private equity, debt, and equity transactions. His career has taken him to work in New York, London, and Milan.

    He is member of the Board of Directors of Tech Europe Foundation, member of the International Advisory Board of Harvard Medical School, Beth Isarael Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston, and member of the Future Investment Initiative Institute of Riyadh.

    EDUCATION

    He has a degree cum laude in International Monetary Economics from Bocconi University, Milan. He has taken courses at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, US.
