Casalasco is a leading agri-food group specialised in the processing and distribution of tomato and basil derivatives, ranking among the top seven operators in the world. The Group, which includes more than 800 associated farms and operates five production facilities located across the provinces of Cremona, Parma and Piacenza, has an annual processing capacity of approximately 850,000 tons and serves around 100 markets globally. FSI’s investment, in partnership with Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro – the Group’s long-standing shareholder – is aimed at creating a consolidation platform within the Italian agri-food sector through acquisitions, both in the core tomato derivatives business and in adjacent segments.
The development plan also envisages the organic strengthening of the Group’s leadership position through diversification into new product categories and further international expansion.
